FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Two Trees in Plymouth on a full-time fixed-term contract, supporting adults with learning disabilities.
Working as part of a caring and supportive team, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for the people we support, helping them to achieve their goals and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
About the Role
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities.
- Support people with all aspects of daily living, including personal care where appropriate, whilst promoting dignity, choice and independence.
- Encourage and enable individuals to participate in meaningful activities, access their local community and maintain social relationships.
- Empower people we support to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
- Maintain accurate and timely care records in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the people we support.
Working Pattern
This position operates on a three-week rolling rota and includes a combination of weekday and weekend shifts, in line with the needs of the service.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
- A caring, compassionate and positive approach to supporting others.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and reliability to work the required rota pattern.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- A willingness to learn and develop within the role.
