FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a leading manufacturing company in Paisley where your attention to detail will contribute directly to delivering quality products to customers.

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Packers for a company based in Paisley, Glasgow, G52.

Manufacturing and packing cartons and gift boxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack finished products according to packing instructions and customer specifications
• Inspect products for defects, damage, or quality issues before packing
• Label cartons and pallets correctly
• Assemble packaging materials where required
• Count and record completed products accurately
• Prepare goods for dispatch and storage
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Report damaged products, equipment faults, or stock discrepancies to supervisors
• Support production and warehouse teams as required

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately and at pace
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable

• Previous packing, production, or warehouse experience
• Experience working in manufacturing
• Knowledge of quality control procedures
• Forklift licence (if applicable)

Physical Requirements

• Standing for extended periods
• Lifting and moving boxes and packaging materials
• Manual handling of products and pallets
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Working Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse setting
• Use of PPE (safety shoes, hi-vis clothing, gloves, etc.) where required
• Shift work and overtime may be required to meet production demands

Performance Measures

• Packing accuracy
• Productivity and output levels
• Quality standards achieved
• Attendance and punctuality
• Health and safety compliance

Shifts

Monday – Friday 7:45am – 4:30pm
