FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Dental Therapist/Hygienist to join our expanding dental team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventative and therapeutic dental care, supporting patient education, and assisting in maintaining a comfortable and efficient clinical environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utiliseyour clinical skills and contribute to improving patient oral health.

This role is flexible and we would consider part time for the right candidate, we are also available for work sponsor positions.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Conduct dental examinations, including assessment of oral health status and medical history.

• Perform professional dental cleaning procedures, including scaling and polishing.

• Assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning alongside the dentist.

• Operate medical imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and sealants.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary advice, and post-treatment care.

• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Ensure all clinical equipment is sterilised, maintained, and used in accordance with health and safety protocols.

Work schedule

Full time role

You will have 

• Proven experience as a Dental Therapist or Hygienist within a clinical setting.

• Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health and dental procedures.

• Experience operating medical imaging devices such as X-ray machines.

• Strong understanding of infection control procedures and sterilisation techniques.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and reassure patients.
