FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and private homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by delivering personalised care tailored to their specific needs. This role offers an opportunity to work in a rewarding environment, making a positive difference in people’s lives through attentive and respectful care.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Providing personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance

• Assisting with medication administration in accordance with care plans and regulations

• Supporting patients with activities of daily living such as meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Monitoring health status and reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals

• Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being

• Managing behaviour effectively, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer’s disease

• Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required

• Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary

• Assisting with specialised care such as hospice or palliative support for terminally ill patients

Requirement 

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable

• Knowledge of patient care techniques, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and hospice care preferred

• Certification or training in first aid is advantageous

• Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely

• Strong communication skills and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to support others

• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient mobility or equipment handling

• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends if needed

• Basic cooking skills for meal preparation and nutritional support

• Experience with behaviour management strategies for individuals with cognitive impairments such as dementia or autism
