FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to appoint health care support assistants who are enthusiastic, motivated with a passion for caring to join our dedicated Team 
The unit is a inpatient ward to treat patient with medical need, so that they can get the right care sooner, helping them to get home from hospital quicker.
As a health care assistant you will work as part of a large multidisciplinary team and will play a key role in delivering the fundamentals of care for patients under the supervision of a nurse, whilst supporting patients to achieve the shared goals.

Individuals should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills who are willing to learn and take on new challenges as the service develops.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Delivering fundamental patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Supporting the multidisciplinary team with patient care goals and ward routines.

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised ward environment.

• Working flexibly, including participating in on-call arrangements after training.

Work Schedule

Requirements

• Evidence of secondary education.

• Numeracy and literacy level 1 or equivalent.

• NVQ2 in Healthcare, OR, prepared to undertake a level 2 NVQ in Healthcare and complete within 1 year (to achieve KSF Foundation Gateway)

• Basic Life Support

• Previous experience in a healthcare environment
