FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Artistic Programme Manager will play an essential part of Attenborough Centre’s future. Working closely with the Head of Cultural Programmes & Engagement this role will work to develop the centre’s programme of high quality and engaging performances and events that connect with a broad range of audiences, including our students. You will collaborate and partner with a range of existing external stakeholders alongside actively seeking new programming opportunities. 

Internally you will work with other colleagues across the Division of Library, Culture & Heritage and the wider University using your expertise to support the strategic priorities of the Division in particular around civic engagement. 

You will have a proven track record of programming and producing artistic work across multiple artforms in venues, festivals or higher education settings. You will have excellent project and stakeholder management skills who can maintain and nurture relationships ranging from student societies, individual artists to nationally significant arts organisations. 

Alongside your relationship management skills, you will be expert in detailed project management to ensure budgeting, contracting, scheduling, and production planning elements are managed effectively. 

Your Responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering engaging artistic programmesacross multiple artforms.

• Managing stakeholders including artists, student groups and major arts organisations.

• Overseeing budgeting, contracting, scheduling and production planning effectively.

• Supporting civic engagement and strategic priorities across the wider university division.

Work Schedule

Full-time up to 37.5 hours per week

You Will Have

• Proven experience programming and producing artistic work in venues, festivals or higher education.

• Strong project and stakeholder management skills across diverse creative relationships.

Requirements

• Work for the University must be performed in the UK.

Benefits

Visa Sponsorship Queries: This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. The assigned SOC code is 3416 Arts officers, producers and directors and the going rate is £38,100. Eligibility for sponsorship will depend on the salary offered, whether a candidate can make use of tradeable points to meet the salary offered.
