FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Society of St James seeks a proactive IT Support Technician to join their small, hands-on team supporting 400+ users across 40+ sites delivering homelessness, substance use and mental health services. You’ll provide 1st/2nd line support across offices, residential units and remote locations, managing hardware/software/network issues while gaining systems administration and infrastructure project exposure in a complex multi-site charity environment.

Your Responsibilities include:

Providing 1st/2nd line support: troubleshooting hardware, software, network and user issues across multiple sites.
Managing Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace environments and supporting device configurations/onboarding.
Assisting with network connectivity (WiFi, switches, VPNs), IP/DNS/DHCP fundamentals and support ticket management.
Supporting IT projects, maintaining user communication and contributing to broader infrastructure improvements.

Work Schedule

Full-time 37 hours requiring travel across Hampshire sites, with flexible working options available.

You Will Have

Demonstrable IT support experience (1st/2nd line) with strong troubleshooting across hardware/software/user issues.
Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and networking fundamentals.
Excellent communication translating technical solutions for non-technical staff, remaining calm under pressure.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence (essential for multi-site travel).
