FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Backend Software Engineer at a revolutionary European car insurance tech company, you’ll build scalable ML platforms supporting full machine learning lifecycle from experimentation to production using Python, designing shared services/infrastructure, collaborating with data scientists/ML engineers.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Develop reliable ML lifecycle platforms (experimentation to production).

• Design shared services + infrastructure for scale.

• Implement TDD/BDD + CI/CD pipelines.

• Integrate messaging/streaming (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

• Optimise relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) + AWS cloud.

Work Schedule

Fully remote UK with flexible hours.

30 days EU working flexibility annually.

You Will Have 

• Kafka/RabbitMQ + relational DBs (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

• AWS cloud systems experience preferred.

• TDD/BDD ensuring code quality/maintainability.

• Collaborative communication with pragmatic approach.

Requirements

• Strong Python backend development expertise.

• Production ML models/workflows experience essential.

• Software architecture + design principles knowledge.

• CI/CD/IaC/containerisation proficiency required.
