FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
As a BandL Consultants Accounts Assistant, you’ll support monthly management accounts, execute bank/balance sheet reconciliations, manage accounts payable/receivable, prepare VAT returns, maintain financial ledgers, process journals/accruals/prepayments, and assist year-end audit preparation using QuickBooks within fast-paced finance team offering comprehensive benefits including visa sponsorship, company car, and career mentoring.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Prepare monthly management accounts + reconciliations.
• Execute bank + balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable + VAT returns.
• Process journals, accruals, prepayments + ledger maintenance.
• Support year-end audit preparation + HMRC compliance.
Work Schedule
Full-time office-based South Ockendon RM15.
Permanent graduate-level finance role.
You Will Have
• VAT regulations + HMRC compliance understanding.
• Payroll/PYE submission experience (desirable).
• Month-end/year-end process exposure advantageous.
• High attention to detail + analytical capability.
Requirements
• AAT qualified/part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA equivalent).
• Previous Accounts Assistant experience essential.
• QuickBooks proficiency + UK accounting standards knowledge.
• Strong MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint competence.
