FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Thornbridge Home Care Assistant in Taunton, you’ll deliver person-centred domiciliary care supporting personal care (washing/dressing), daily routines, meal preparation, companionship, community access, and independence promotion while enjoying paid mileage (35p/mile), full training, flexible patterns, sponsorship opportunities (post-3 months), and career progression within community-rooted provider emphasizing meaningful relationships over task completion.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Support personal care respectfully maintaining dignity.

• Assist daily routines: washing, dressing, meal preparation.

• Provide companionship + emotional reassurance.

• Promote independence + community participation.

• Observe/report wellbeing changes per care plans.

Work Schedule

Flexitime mornings/evenings/weekends availability.

Taunton + nearby areas (37.5hr contracts available).

Multiple contract types suiting your availability.

You Will Have 

• Natural empathy + relationship building capability.

• Physical/emotional resilience for demanding role.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence + own vehicle essential.

• Right to work in UK.

• Patient, calm, respectful approach to care.
