FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Finance a Vehicle Ltd Automotive Mechanic in Portsmouth, you’ll diagnose/repair non-runners, rectify MOT failures/advisories to DVSA standards, perform engine rebuilds, clutch/gearbox repairs, cambelt replacements, brake/suspension work, and prepare vehicles for sale while accessing Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, temporary couple accommodation, and overtime within busy workshop serving vehicle preparation/repair specialism.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose/repair non-runners + MOT failures/advisories to DVSA standards.

• Execute engine rebuilds, clutch/gearbox, injector/fuel system repairs.

• Complete cambelt/timing chain + comprehensive brake/suspension work.

• Perform routine servicing + pre-sale mechanical health checks.

• Maintain workshop standards + accurate job records.

Work Schedule

40hr week 10-hour shifts with optional Saturday overtime.

Portsmouth workshop (in-person).

On-site parking provided.

You Will Have

• NVQ Level 3 Automotive or Bachelor’s (highly desirable).

• Comprehensive MOT failure rectification capability.

• Engine rebuild + major mechanical repair expertise.

• Workshop organisation + tool maintenance standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years proven automotive repair experience mandatory.

• 5-7 years diagnostics/auto-electrics preferred.

• Full UK work rights.

• Physical capability for workshop environment.
