FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Operations Support Officer in the Surgery Division at King’s Mill Hospital, you’ll provide critical operational/business support to Service Line Directors and Heads of Service, developing business plans/cases, coordinating meetings, managing performance systems, analysing data to identify improvement opportunities, producing timely reports, supporting benchmarking, and training colleagues in improvement tools within this ‘outstanding’ CQC-rated NHS Trust serving 420,000+ patients across multiple counties. This fast-paced Band 5 role emphasises turning data into actionable insight and continuous service improvement, offering UK visa sponsorship eligibility for shortage occupation list roles within clinically-led organisation voted best acute Trust in East Midlands for seven years running.jobs+1

Your Responsibilities include:

• Support operational delivery, performance management, continuous improvement.

• Develop business plans/cases coordinating divisional meetings/activities.

• Manage performance systems analysing data producing decision-making reports.

• Identify service improvement opportunities supporting benchmarking initiatives.

• Train colleagues in improvement tools embedding effective processes.

Work Schedule

Full-time 37.5 hours per week.

Standard NHS hospital operational hours.

Sutton-In-Ashfield NG17 King’s Mill Hospital location.

You Will Have 

• Strong analytical skills turning complex data into actionable insights.

• Excellent collaboration working with clinical leadership teams.

• Problem-solving innovation within fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Patient-centred approach supporting high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Diploma/equivalent experience in service development/performance management.

• Advanced keyboard skills, NHS operational knowledge.

• Data analysis, report writing, business case development experience.

• UK work eligibility
