FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Speech and Language Therapist at Ormiston Kensington Queensmill Academy, you’ll work within the multidisciplinary therapy team delivering autism-specific interventions under Principal SaLT guidance, assessing pupils, creating personalisedcommunication plans, and collaborating with teaching staff, families, and professionals to support autistic children and young people with specific learning difficulties. This term-time-only permanent role serves the school’s purpose-built low-arousal facilities prioritising pupil wellbeing, requiring HCPC registration, RCSLT CPD commitment, and proven school-based experience with autism communication strategies in an inclusive educational environment passionate about community access and staff development.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based autism-specific speech therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and professionals creating personalised plans.
• Work under Principal SaLT guidance within wider therapy team structure.
• Support pupils accessing education within school and local community settings.
Work Schedule
Full-time term time only.
Standard school hours Monday-Friday.
