FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant within Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust’s multidisciplinary acute hospital team, you’ll deliver competent patient care under registered professional supervision, performing essential activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, repositioning, and clinical support while maintaining safety standards, reporting patient condition changes, and fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. This part-time role emphasises person-centred care within busy hospital settings, contributing to the Trust’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives through engaged teamwork and professional development while supporting effective service delivery across clinical teams serving London’s diverse communities.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Competently perform patient care tasks including feeding, bathing, repositioning.

• Ensure effective clinical care delivery maintaining acceptable standards.

• Follow Trust policies creating safe, person-centred treatment environments.

• Report observed changes in patients’ physical/psychological conditions.

• Support registered professionals and clinical team members as required.

Work Schedule

Part-time hours within acute hospital setting.

Shift patterns typical of NHS hospital environments.

Requirements

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant or equivalent patient care role.

• Competence in basic patient care activities of daily living.
