Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative engineering solutions across various projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation in system design and mechanical knowledge to contribute to cutting-edge projects within a collaborative environment. The role involves applying advanced technical skills to ensure project success, from conception through to completion, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
● Lead the development and realisation of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and organisational standards.
● Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective corrective actions.
● Utilise CAD software such as SolidWorks and Schematics tools to create detailed designs and technical drawings.
● Develop system models using Simulink and MATLAB for simulation and validation purposes.
● Design, programme, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate processes efficiently.
● Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise manufacturing and assembly of components.
● Use LabVIEW for data acquisition, control, and automation tasks within projects.
● Perform system design activities, integrating mechanical components with electrical systems for optimal performance.
● Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop comprehensive project plans and timelines.
● Ensure all designs meet safety standards, quality requirements, and industry regulations.
Experience
● Proven experience in system design, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
● Strong background in mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in schematics, CAD (SolidWorks, CAD), and system modelling tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
● Demonstrated expertise in programming PLCs and utilising LabVIEW for automation tasks.
● Familiarity with GD&T standards for manufacturing precision.
● Experience conducting root cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues effectively.
● Knowledge of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and control systems integration is desirable.
● Prior involvement in project management or coordination of engineering projects is advantageous but not essential.
