FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
I am looking for a reliable, kind, and compassionate female support worker to join my team. This role suits someone responsible and grounded, with life experience, who values close one-to-one work and wants to be part of a positive and supportive environment.
This is a role where the right person can genuinely contribute to meaningful change.
Key Information
- 12-hour shifts
- Day: 08:00–20:00
- Night: 20:00–08:00
- Flexibility is essential — availability to cover shifts and adapt to changing routines
- This is not a casual position; reliability, maturity, and focus are essential
Essential Requirements
- Female
- Non-smoker
- Aged 25 or over (car insurance requirement)
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Confident and experienced driver, including motorway driving
- Competent IT skills to support communication and admin tasks (typing, emails, online shopping, basic research)
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication
About Me
I am in my 30s and have complex health needs, including tracheostomy care, skin and eye care, and medication management. I am blind, use a wheelchair, and require consistent, person-centred support.
I am intelligent, hardworking, caring, and down to earth. I enjoy staying active and keeping busy, and I value efficiency and initiative.
My interests include:
- Gym sessions
- Aromatherapy and general wellness
- Eating out and shopping
Each day is different, so someone who can think ahead and keep pace will be a good fit.
The Role
This is a one-to-one care and support role, including:
- Personal care
- Driving to appointments and activities
- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals
- Light household duties
You will need to be:
- Proactive, organised, and adaptable
- Calm in pressured or unpredictable situations
- Comfortable working independently while following guidance
- Flexible with long shifts and shift cover
Experience is helpful but not essential. Full training will be provided, particularly around medical care. You must be able to learn new routines quickly and feel comfortable with tasks that may seem complex at first.
