Oakwood Engineering Solutions is a specialist structural steel detailing and digital engineering business. We work directly with UK fabricators on live projects, producing detailed Tekla models and drawings used for fabrication and erection.

We are looking for a post-graduate engineer who has completed a relevant degree and is ready for the next step into a professional engineering role. This position is suited to someone with a strong academic foundation who wants to develop practical, project-based experience in a specialist steel environment.

The role

You will:

● Develop Tekla modelling and detailing skills under the guidance of experienced engineers and detailers

● Work as part of an established, office-based Tekla team on live building and bridge projects

● Learn how structural steel is detailed, fabricated, and erected

● Support project delivery and take on increasing responsibility as your capability grows

This role bridges the gap between academic study and professional practice.

What we’re looking for

● A completed degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

● Someone actively looking for their next professional step following university

● An interest in practical engineering and how structures are delivered, not just designed

● Good attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a professional approach

Previous Tekla experience is welcome but not essential.
