Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

The successful candidate will undertake a 22 month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM. This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions.
You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. These block weeks will be delivered online.

You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

This is a Level 3 qualification.

Overview

If you’re looking to kick-start your career in IT and are ready to learn, curious and hands-on then carry on reading.

We’re looking for our next IT Support Apprentice to work alongside our experienced engineers to provide first line IT support whilst building skills in trouble-shooting, networking and customer service.

Responsibilities include:

● Answering and logging IT support requests

● Basic troubleshooting

● Prepare and configure laptops, desktops and mobile devices

● Support the setup of printers, phones and peripherals

● Escalate complex IT issues

● Keep detailed notes in the ticketing system

● Learn and follow IT procedures, security policies and best practices.

Requirements

● Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A–C) including English and Mathematics, or equivalent.

● A genuine interest in IT and technology

● Good problem-solving and communication skills

● Basic understanding of MS Windows and O365

● English and maths GCSEs

● Driving licence

After this apprenticeship
