FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team in the Baby Room all year round. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and early education to make a positive impact on children’s lives while developing their management and leadership skills.
Visa Sponsorship available for candidates that are already in the UK. Must currently already be in the UK.
Duties
● Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
● Supervise children during play, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
● Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues
● Foster a caring environment that encourages socialisation, independence, and confidence
● Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery setting in accordance with health and safety standards
● Support the induction of new staff members and assist in mentoring less experienced team members
● Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development, behaviour, and needs
● Assist with administrative tasks related to child records and daily reports
Qualifications
● Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
● At least 3years experience working in a nursery or similar setting
● Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
● Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
● Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent) are desirable
● Passionate about early childhood education with a caring attitude towards children’s wellbeing and development
