FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to children and families, assisting with daily activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to implement care plans effectively, making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Duties

• Provide direct support to children, assisting with daily routines and activities.
• Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes emotional well-being.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with children, families, and other professionals involved in care.
• Document progress and any changes in behaviour or circumstances accurately.
• Assist with transportation as needed, ensuring safe travel for children to appointments or activities.
• Utilise IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children is essential, demonstrating a strong understanding of their needs.
• A background in childcare or related fields is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to drive safely and responsibly, holding a valid driving licence.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with children and their families.
