FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Perdiswell Rose Cate Home are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join their new team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in the home. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with their daily living activities while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for.

Duties

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support residents in following their individual care plans to meet their specific needs.
• Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on resident progress and needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including tidying living spaces and assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
• Document daily activities and any changes in resident health or behavior accurately in accordance with company policies.

Skills

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication with clients and team members.
• Experience or knowledge of care plans is advantageous for tailoring support to individual needs.
• Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial.
• Previous experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families while demonstrating empathy and respect.
