FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Community Carer – East Sussex (Eastbourne & Hastings)

Shifts: 7 days a week, flexible to your availability (Monday – Sunday) 08:00hrs – 22:00hrs

Requirement: Must be a car driver with a full UK licence

About the Role

Join Minerva Nursing as a Community Carer and support the local community. You’ll be helping individuals returning home from hospital or preventing unnecessary admissions by delivering high-quality, person-centred care in their own homes.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference to people’s lives every day.

What You’ll Do

Deliver compassionate, tailored care based on individual needs.
Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, medication monitoring).
Support with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, shopping, and light housekeeping.
Assist with mobility and manual handling using appropriate equipment.
Promote health, independence, and well-being.
Work flexible shifts (including alternate weekends).

What We Offer

Full-time and part-time positions available.
Regular weekly hours with flexible shifts.
3–4 patients per day, requiring 4 calls throughout the day.
Mileage allowance at 35p per mile.
Weekly timesheet processing.
PAYE and Umbrella options available.

What We’re Looking For

Kind, caring, and compassionate individuals.
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to build rapport with service users.
Previous care experience desirable, but not essential.
