FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a small Nottingham Company providing virtual administrative management service for Medical Consultants and Healthcare Professionals working throughout the UK within the Private Health Sector.

We are looking to strengthen our practice administration team and seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

As a company our workforce are predominantly home based (remote working), therefore you will need to have these facilities available to you in a secure environment to accommodate remote working. A laptop or PC will be required with Windows software. Please note, we do not support Macs.

Initial training will be remote on-line.

Secretarial experience or working within a medical environment along with a knowledge of medical terminology would be preferred but is not essential.

Duties:

  • Call handling inbound and outbound
  • Daily diary management
  • Arranging clinics and theatre sessions
  • Booking outpatient appointments
  • Booking in/outpatient procedures
  • Non-complex patient and client enquiries and queries
  • Adherence to GDPR
  • Accurate data entry
  • Processing of credit card payments
  • Liaise with private hospitals, GP surgeries and other medical professions
  • Liaise with solicitors and medical insurance companies

You will also need to:

  • Excellent professional telephone manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • IT, English and Maths skills
  • Proven record of working to strict deadlines
  • Ability to learn new software systems
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to identify and escalate any known issues or conflicts to Line Management
  • Can do attitude and enjoy a challenge
