FULL JOB DESCRIPTION 

Home Support Worker

Duties:
– Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
– Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
– Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.
– Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, vacuuming, and tidying up.
– Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings.
– Engage in conversation and provide companionship to clients.
– Monitor and report any changes in client’s condition or behaviour to the supervisor.
– Follow care plans and instructions provided by the client or their family.

Skills:
– Compassionate and caring nature.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
– Patience and understanding when working with elderly or disabled individuals.
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
– Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus.
