We are seeking to recruit experienced Support Workers or Healthcare Assistants to work with young adults win a specialist residential and educational service in Blandford Forum, Dorset.
They are an independent provider of specialist further education and residential care in the South West. They offer day and k residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 years. They typically support students who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, moderate to severe learning disabilities and a range of behaviour, emotional and complex needs.
Within the local area there are a range of cultural and recreational facilities including parks, libraries, and sports facilities, religious and cultural centres. It also enjoys a positive and friendly relationship with the neighbours and close local community. Within easy reach there is access to a wide range of educational and entertainment facilities within the town centre of Yeovil.
We have a variety of hours to choose from – Long days, lates or night shufts – you can choose!

Working with Cream Care will give you flexibility as you choose the hours and days you work each week. You just let us know each week when you are available and we will work with you. However, once you have given your availability for a week it is then ‘written in stone’ and we will offer you shifts on the days you have committed to.
You will be treated by our team at ‘base’ with respect. We will take care of you. We work for you – you don’t work for us.
THE FIT
To fit with the role of Support Worker you will:
- Have a minimum of six months experience in the care sector – providing support to service users with autism – otherwise experience with learning disabilities/challenging behaviour or physical disabilities
- Have an enhanced DBS or prepared to apply for a new one. Don’t worry we will encourage you to register with the update service once received. You will then NEVER have to apply for a DBS again.
- Have a passion to deliver great care and support.
- Dignity – a commitment that you will treat all service users with dignity and respect
- Cheerful – to wow the service users and keep them happy.
- Good spoken English – the service users love to chat and you will be reassuring them with little chats whilst encouraging them and supporting them
- Be willing to deliver personal care
- Record Keeping – you will keep all records up to date as you move from one client to another
HOURS OF WORK
The home and College have their own cars so if you are a car driver – all the better! The hours of work are varied, with long days or nights in the week and split shifts, long days or nights at the weekends.
You choose the shifts on our app around your work/life balance. We have regular shifts coming in from this service.
THE GOOD STUFF

- Induction – at the start of your first shift at a new home – yes, including fire procedures!
- Come and join us – you won’t be a name on a list. We carefully select staff for shifts based on
