Care Administrator with Axe Valley Home Care
Purpose:
The post-holder is employed by Axe Valley Home Care Limited, working within the geographical area defined as East Devon and West Dorset. You will respond flexibly to support the smooth running of the Community Service to enable the delivery of a high quality outcome based care and support service to individuals in line with the requirements of CQC. You will work positively with others as an ambassador for the company and to build effective working relationships.
Responsibilities (see job description for comprehensive details):
1. Triaging incoming care alerts
2. Contacting health professionals on behalf of our clients
3. Responding to client and care team queries
4. Responding positively to care enquiries and supporting in the growth of the business
5. General administrative tasks
Salary and Hours of Work:
- Your rate of pay will be £12.50
- Mileage is paid at the current agreed Company rate.
- You will be paid every four weeks by bank transfer
- The standard hours of work per week are 27.5 hours, Monday to Friday.
- A working day will comprise of 5.5 hours as follows: 08.30-14.30 inclusive of a 30 min meal break

- Annual leave amounts to 28 days per year and is inclusive of Public Holidays when not required to work.
- The annual leave period commences on the 1st January and ends on the 31st December.
- You may be required to work on any of these days according to the work rota. When you work on one of the eight Statutory/Public Holidays you will be entitled to a supplementary payment rising your monies to time and a half. If you are not allocated to work on a Statutory/Public Holiday, it will be considered as annual leave.
- This post is subject to an enhanced DBS. A cash deposit for the full cost of this document will be required and this will be returned to you after 12 weeks of service.
- The appointment of every new employee shall be subject to a term of probation of up to six months which will be regularly reviewed.
- In line with Government legislation we are required to enrol workers into a workplace pension scheme. This is dependent on various eligibility criteria. Our pension provider is NEST. On enrolment, NEST will contact you directly with information about the scheme.
- We offer a full induction for our staff, and you will receive regular courses to keep you up to date in current practice. We will also support staff to undertake bespoke courses as necessary for your development to enable progression through the Company. You will be paid to attend training at your usual hourly rate and conditions linked to length of service will apply for any company funded courses/qualifications. Please refer to your Employment Contract for further details.
