FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Growing Independent Support UK LTD provides high-quality semi-independent accommodation and support for young people aged 16–24. We are expanding our team and looking for passionate, reliable Support Workers to join us at our Priory Road provision.

About the role:

• Provide day-to-day support to young people to build independence skills (cooking, budgeting, self-care, and appointments).
• Promote safeguarding, emotional wellbeing, and positive routines.
• Complete daily records, incident reports, keywork sessions and support plans.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, families, and other professionals.
• Support young people to engage in education, training, or employment.

We are looking for people who:

• Have experience supporting young people (16–24) or vulnerable individuals (care, supported living, youth work, education etc.).
• Are patient, consistent, and able to set clear boundaries.
• Can work shifts including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleeps/wakes as required.
• Have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Desirable:

• Experience in semi-independent / supported accommodation.
• NVQ Level 3 (or working towards) in Health & Social Care / Children & Young People.
• Full UK driving licence.
