We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily routines, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support clients in engaging with their care plans to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals in care home or home care environments.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to relevant professionals.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning as required.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary, ensuring safe transportation.
Skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating care records.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Driving skills are essential for transporting clients safely to appointments or activities.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where needed.
- Fluency in English is required for clear communication with clients and team members.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support others are fundamental qualities for this role.
