Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Monitor and record patients’ health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Drive to various locations as required for home care visits (driving licence preferred).
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong English language skills for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the service.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
