The Maples is a small friendly care home located in Porthill
The ideal candidate will have
- the ability to relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- the ability to communicate with tact and sensitivity
- the ability to remain calm under pressure
- the ability to be organised and time efficient
- good written and spoken English
What you’ll do
Your day-to-day duties may include (this is not an exclusive list):
- getting to know clients, their interests and their needs
- helping clients with daily personal care such as washing, dressing, using the toilet and feeding themselves
- carrying out general tasks such as housework, tidying, organising
- helping clients live a full and meaningful life
- ensure a safe and friendly environment
- working with other health and social care professionals to provide individual care and development plans
- helping with leisure activities
- escort clients on health appointments, outings etc.
