FULL JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Social Worker to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support and guidance to individuals in Abbey Court, particularly focusing on person centred care. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, supervising care staff, and ensuring that the needs of our residents are met with dignity and respect. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for fostering a collaborative environment. Unfortunately we cannot offer sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the needs of our residents.
  • Provide direct support to residents, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Supervise and mentor social care workers and support staff, promoting professional development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and resident outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments to identify individual needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with organisational policies.
  • Facilitate communication between residents, families, and other professionals involved in care.

Skills

  • Proven experience in senior care settings, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by older adults.
  • Excellent leadership skills with prior supervising experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address individual needs effectively.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.

Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week
