Role Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our recruitment and interview processes for staff within our children’s residential care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in HR and recruitment, with a working knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulations in relation to children’s residential services. This is a part-time role, perfect for a student looking to gain valuable HR and sector experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process, including:
- Screening CVs and applications
- Shortlisting suitable candidates
- Scheduling and coordinating interviews
- Supporting interview panels and taking notes
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment documentation.
- Support compliance checks in line with safer recruitment and Ofsted standards.
- Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist in drafting job adverts and posting across various platforms.
- Provide administrative support to the HR function as required.
Requirements
- Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree or qualification in Human Resources, Social Care, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Ofsted standards and children’s residential care regulations (essential).
- Interest in HR, recruitment, and compliance within the care sector.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
