About Us

Little Hope Care Services Ltd provides 24-hour Residential Care to children and young people in a homely, nurturing environment in London and surrounding areas. Our ethos is driven by a passion to bring positive change and support the wellbeing of every child in our care.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our recruitment and interview processes for staff within our children’s residential care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in HR and recruitment, with a working knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulations in relation to children’s residential services. This is a part-time role, perfect for a student looking to gain valuable HR and sector experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including:
  • Screening CVs and applications
  • Shortlisting suitable candidates
  • Scheduling and coordinating interviews
  • Supporting interview panels and taking notes
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment documentation.
  • Support compliance checks in line with safer recruitment and Ofsted standards.
  • Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist in drafting job adverts and posting across various platforms.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR function as required.

Requirements

  • Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree or qualification in Human Resources, Social Care, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards and children’s residential care regulations (essential).
  • Interest in HR, recruitment, and compliance within the care sector.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
