Orchid Woodland Care Home is currently seeking a Care Assistant / Healthcare Assistant / Caregiver to join our team. Our care home is committed to providing exceptional care and ensuring that our Service Users feel supported and dignified at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Service Users with daily living tasks, maintaining their comfort and dignity.
- Support those facing mobility or learning challenges.
- Monitor Service Users, particularly those with behavioral issues.
- Promote continence and provide end-of-life care when required.
- Participate in social activities, encouraging Service Users’ hobbies and interests.
- Respond to Nurse Call system requests and provide necessary assistance.
- Create a welcoming environment by offering refreshments and assistance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized Care Centre for the wellbeing of Service Users.
- Manage Service Users’ personal and financial affairs with integrity.
- Report changes in Service Users’ condition to the Home Manager or Person in Charge.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant Service User group.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
- Satisfactory Policy Check and check against the PoVA list.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programme.
- Previous experience with the relevant Service User group desired.

Full-time hours: 36hours per week OR 48hours per week
Part-time hours: 24hours per week
Shift Pattern – 12 hours shift – 8am to 8pm – Day shift
