FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. This role involves delivering high-quality care in various settings, including hospice care, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospice care, nursing homes, or home care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients.
• Must be willing to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
