FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company directors in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role is essential in facilitating smooth operations within the accounts team.

Duties

  • Assist in processing accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments from suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
  • Support month-end closing activities by preparing relevant reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for reporting purposes.
  • Utilise accounting software Xero to manage financial data efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as required, including data entry tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
  • Strong understanding of accounts processes and financial record keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are required to liaise with suppliers and patients.

Experience:

  • Accounting: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

  • English (required)
