About the Service

Arosfa Disability Service offers a warm, home‑from‑home environment for children and young people with disabilities or additional needs, providing both short breaks and long‑term residential support.

We celebrate meaningful milestones, from our young people managing their first overnight stays to supporting long‑term residents as they move confidently into adult services.

Our team is encouraged to learn, reflect, and grow together, with a strong focus on teamwork and open communication.

Staff are encouraged to bring their outside passions into the home, and some of our staff who enjoy arts and crafts use these skills to enrich activities and help young people discover new interests.

This creates a positive, nurturing environment where everyone can develop and succeed.

About the role

The Residential Support Worker role is a great entry point into social care, and you don’t need previous experience or qualifications to get started.

This is an energetic, hands‑on role where you’ll be actively involved in a wide range of engaging activities, making each day varied and rewarding.

We’re looking for people with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to support children and young people.

You’ll help create a safe, caring environment where they can grow, stay healthy, and reach their full potential by offering personalised care, guidance, and encouragement.

In return, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, build valuable skills, and have access to excellent opportunities to progress within our organisation.

How you’ll create brighter futures

  • Supporting young people with personal care and daily routines, including hygiene and communication.
  • Assisting with the safe administration of medication.
  • Engaging in fun and meaningful activities both within the service and out in the community such as swimming and walks
  • Ensuring safeguarding through accurate recording, reporting, and maintaining a safe environment.

Let’s talk about you

Don’t worry if you’ve never worked in a similar role before, it’s your personality and personal values that matter. If you’re passionate about creating brighter futures, this could be the perfect role for you.

Ideally you’ll:

  • Understand how to engage with young people.
  • Have a positive approach and ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
  • Be ready to complete a level 3 in Health and Social Care within 2 years of commencing employment with us, fully funded by us.
  • Full UK driving license for transportation of our young people to and from the service (desirable)
