FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Executive Support Assistant with ID Consultancy, you will provide reliable, neuro-affirming support to an autistic professional with ADHD, OCD, and physical disabilities, helping them maintain high-level work across case management, mentoring, consultancy, research, public speaking, writing, and advocacy on neurodiversity and inclusion. This remote, self-employed role averages 8 hours per week (Monday–Wednesday primarily), funded through the Access to Work scheme until at least August 2026, with tasks focused on executive functioning, organisation, and professional communication to enable effective delivery despite neurodivergent challenges. You will handle confidential materials without AI tools, ensuring discretion, GDPR compliance, and proactive assistance with task initiation, prioritisation, and content structuring.
The role suits highly organised individuals with neuro-affirming understanding, who can turn rough notes into polished documents and provide consistent prompting for momentum during busy periods. Long-term continuation is preferred post-funding review, with invoices paid directly by Access to Work upon approval.
Your Responsibilities include:
• Conduct daily check-ins and prompting (at least twice per day Monday–Wednesday) to support task initiation, focus, and momentum.
• Help prioritise work, manage workload, and break larger projects into clear, manageable steps.
• Convert bullet points, notes, or voice notes into clear, professional written documents, reports, emails, or communications.
• Edit, structure, and create professional PowerPoint presentations from outlines or notes for talks and workshops.
• Draft LinkedIn posts, professional communications, and materials for public speaking or resources.
• Organise notes, documents, research, project tasks, and occasional basic admin to streamline workflow.
Work Schedule
Part-time freelance, averaging 8 hours per week (flexible based on workload and funding).
Primarily Monday–Wednesday, with occasional Thursday/Friday as needed.
check-ins 9am–6pm availability preferred.
Remote work from home, self-managed around deadlines.
You Will Have
• Neuro-affirming understanding of autism, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges.
• Excellent written English to structure complex ideas into professional content.
• Highly organised, proactive, dependable, with strong deadline adherence.
• Ability to provide prompting, accountability, and turn rough ideas into polished documents/presentations.
• Experience supporting neurodivergent professionals, coaching/mentoring, or professional writing (desirable).
• Qualification/training in neurodivergence (desirable).
• High trust, discretion for confidential case material (no AI tools allowed).
Requirements
• Native level English (required).
• Microsoft Office experience (1 year preferred, especially PowerPoint and Word).
• Public liability and indemnity insurance (required).
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and two references before starting.
• Availability Monday–Friday 9am–6pm; advance notice for holidays/unavailability.
• Self-employed responsibility for tax, National Insurance, and statutory obligations.
