FULL JOB DESCRIPTION 

Meloosha Homecare Falkirk is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide essential support to patients in home care settings. In this role, you will assist individuals with daily activities while ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Experience supporting individuals with autism is beneficial.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.

• Implement individual care plans based on patient needs and routines.

• Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance patients’ wellbeing.

• Use IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Basic IT skills for record keeping and care management systems.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced care environment.

• Full UK driving licence required for travel between care locations.

• Must be living in Falkirk or able to reliably commute or relocate before starting work.
