FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Engineering Construction Industry Training Board is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the organisation’s human resources operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality HR support.
As an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, HR systems management, reporting, and general HR administration. You will also act as a key point of contact for employees, helping ensure HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.
This role is full-time and home-based, with occasional travel across the UK when required.
Your Responsibilities includes:
• Provide administrative support across HR functions including recruitment and onboarding
• Assist with payroll processes and HR reporting tasks
• Maintain HR systems and ensure employee records are accurate and up to date
• Support employee lifecycle processes from hiring through to exit procedures
• Respond to HR-related queries from staff and provide appropriate guidance
• Help ensure HR operations run efficiently and comply with company policies
• Support internal communication and documentation across HR activities
Work Schedule
Full-time position
37.5 hours per week
Remote / home-based working with occasional UK-wide travel

Compensation
Salary of up to £30,000 per year depending on experience

Requirements
• Previous administration experience, preferably within HR
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Good written and verbal communication abilities

• Strong customer service approach
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
