We are currently looking for experienced and dedicated Live-in Support Worker to offer support to an individual with down syndrome and extreme vulnerability. The support worker should be able to manage numbers/basic accounts, follow a healthy active lifestyle and happy to prepare and eat lunch with the client.
The client is based in London.
Your working day may involve any of the following:
- Daily prompting and motivation to plan, organise and/or manage her daily living
- Assisting the client with self-care needs
- Engaging in activities
- Personal care needs i.e. medical (Giving medication on time)
- Book and manage appointments
- Manage petty cash
Desired Attributes Required for the Role:
- Support worker must be fit and have the ability to walk for long periods at times
- Eat and prepare healthy meals with the client
- Must have the ability to engage with individuals in a positive and proactive manner.
- Be self motivated with a friendly nature
- Be sensitive and reflective and have the ability to listen and empathise
- Have worked with clients with down syndrome

Salary
£1,028.56 per month (pre-tax)
Candidate Eligibility
In order to be considered for this position candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must live in London or within the M25 to apply
- Willing to wear PPE when required
- Eligible to work in the UK
- The ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English is essential.
- At least one years’ experience working with people with learning disabilities and /or down syndrome
- Please note that we do not offer job sponsorships.
Weekend Shift Pattern : To be available from Friday 4pm – Sunday 4pm
