FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated care assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in receiving care services in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to clients’ needs, and have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while working within a supportive environment.
The successful candidate must have a permit to work in the UK, be able to drive, have their own car and insurance and have a confirmed DBS and care training certificate
We do not give CoS.
Duties
- Assist service users with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Ensure a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Document care provided accurately using IT systems and care documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Support with medication administration as per training and guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Basic understanding of care plans and the importance of confidentiality and privacy
