About The Role
We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant (Trainee) to join our Pensions and Treasury Service.

In this role, you will:
● Provide general administrative support to the pension and treasury teams to facilitate the efficient and effective running of the Service.
● Monitor the pension fund bank accounts daily and complete monthly bank account reconciliations.
● Complete monthly contribution and benefits payable reconciliations, and prepare the related journals ensuring that supporting documents are saved in the system and available for inspection.
● Assist with treasury duties as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
● Studied or studying or intending to study (having obtained minimum entry requirements – grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics) AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
● Basic knowledge of financial processes and techniques, and experience of carrying out administrative duties.
● Have worked or currently working in a financial environment completing reconciliations.
● Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
● Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
