FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Male Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes looking to start within 1 week. The shift times are currently 8am to 8pm, although this may change depending on client demand and the nature of domiciliary care.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while working within a supportive team environment.

Duties

● Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing.

● Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.

● Administer medication following care plans and protocols.

● Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client conditions.

● Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care at all times.

● Support clients in engaging with activities to promote mental and physical well-being.

● Support clients with outside activities when required, such as attending shopping centres and local events.

● Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Experience

● Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

● Driving licence and having your own car is not essential for this role currently as you will be going to 1 location, however this can change where you will be required to drive to clients homes in Bristol and surrounding areas.

● Familiarity with care plans and documentation procedures is beneficial

● Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are essential.

● Excellent communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.

● We also offer apprenticeship opportunities in partnership with lifetime group to further your skills and knowledge in healthcare or gain your first qualification in healthcare.
