FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Tracheostomy Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care for an individual with complex clinical needs in Farnham. This is a permanent role offering full-time hours with both day and night shifts. The successful candidate must have proven experience in tracheostomy and complex care and be eligible for care worker sponsorship.
● Provide daily care and support to a client with complex health needs
● Deliver hands-on tracheostomy care, including routine care and monitoring
● Perform suctioning safely and in line with care plans
● Manage and support PEG and JEJ feeding
● Observe, monitor, and report any changes in the client’s condition
● Support with personal care and daily living activities where required
● Maintain accurate care records and documentation
● Follow all care plans, risk assessments, and health & safety procedures
● Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members
● Provide care during both day and night shifts
● Previous experience working as a Carer in complex care
● Hands-on experience with:
○ Tracheostomy care
○ Suctioning
○ PEG feeding
○ Jejunostomy (JEJ) feeding
● Ability to work 40 hours per week including days and nights
● Eligible for or currently holding care worker sponsorship
● Strong understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
● Good communication skills and a caring, professional attitude
● Willingness to work in Farnham
● Desirable (but not essential)
● NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
● Experience in domiciliary or community complex care
● Basic life support or clinical care training
● £35,000 per year salary
● Permanent contract
● Full-time hours (40 per week)
● Sponsorship support for eligible candidates
● Ongoing training and support
