We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business by translating business needs into technical specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to analyse data effectively to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyse data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the SDLC.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Utilise SQL for data extraction and manipulation to support analysis efforts.
- Create visual reports using tools such as Power BI to present findings to stakeholders.
- Assist in database design and maintenance to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Employ programming languages such as R and VBA for advanced data analysis tasks.
- Provide project management support by tracking progress, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables are met.
Skills
- Proficient in SQL for database querying and management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
- Experience in project management methodologies to oversee projects effectively.
- Knowledge of database design concepts and best practices.
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
- Experience with R for statistical analysis is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Bash Unix shell scripting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
