Your role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an MI Analyst to join our Data Centre of Excellence. This role is essential for our Business Analytics team, playing a crucial part in turning valuable data and insights into actionable strategies that benefit our members, customers, and help shape the future of our society.
You will work in a team that are the product owners for a range of business and regulatory reports. The team are the owners and facilitators of the Power BI Centre of Excellence, so there will be opportunities to deliver training and engage with practitioners and champions across the business. You will utilise the Microsoft Power Platform to further develop reports to meet the evolving needs of end users.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the owner for existing regulatory and non-regulatory BAU reports ensuring the completeness of the reports for end users
- Maintain the processes, structures and business development supporting the Power BI Centre of Excellence
- Support the business induction training around existing Power BI reports
- Provide general advice and analysis to internal business customers and develop overall business knowledge to facilitate this function
- Utilising your business knowledge and expertise, develop new reports, modify existing reports to meet the needs of the business
- Regularly evaluate existing reports and find improvements, seek to develop new methods of analysing and communicating data to ensure quality of output is maintained
We’re looking for:
It is essential to have knowledge and understanding of Power BI and the wider Power Platform- It would be desirable to have a good understanding of SQL and be proficient in Excel
- A self-motivated, logical and organised approach
- Flexible and proactive with the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable delivering training sessions to small groups
