FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is essential in assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life.
Duties
- Provide patient care, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Offer dementia care and support to clients suffering from cognitive impairments.
- Assist with home care tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Deliver senior care services tailored to the individual needs of clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Support clients in assisted living environments and nursing homes by engaging them in social activities and providing companionship.
- Facilitate hospice care for individuals requiring end-of-life support with dignity and respect.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care or a related field is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
- A caring attitude with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
