Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in need, including those with complex health conditions. This role is essential in supporting our clients’ daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Duties
As a Care Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients for any changes in condition.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Supporting clients with dementia care and behaviour management strategies to enhance their quality of life.
  • Offering hospice care to clients at the end of life, ensuring dignity and comfort during this sensitive time.
  • Performing heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any concerns to the nursing team or supervisor.
  • Engaging clients in social activities and providing companionship to promote emotional well-being.
  • Following all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required.

Qualifications
To be considered for the Care Worker position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a care setting, such as a nursing home or similar environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices and behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
  • Certification in first aid is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for caring for others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
