FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

The job will involve creatively working with children and young people from a variety of backgrounds. Leading sessions and creatively engaging children and young people in musical/creative tasks to gain various desired outcomes.

 Duties and responsibilities

• Session development (the ability to generate new ideas and practices to develop young people)
• Provide engagement support (the ability to engage children and young people with music)
• To compile digital compositions using relevant DAW’s,
• To compile session evaluations,
• Application knowledge (DAW)
• Music Knowledge (applications, Logic Pro X, Ableton, FL Studio)
• A basic level of music theory
• An understanding of current affairs (regarding the current condition of young people)
• An understanding of contemporary music
• Experience (working with young people, teaching applications, general teaching)
• Experience of working with disadvantaged children, NEET, Looked after children
• Report to the practice Manager, providing written and verbal reports on service issues. Compile relevant and accurate information to assist the Practice Manager to maintain and progress service provision.
• Develop individual action plans for service users that will enable them to regain independence and re enable them back into their communities.
• Undertake reviews of service users’ care plans, update information and take a lead in implementing changes to service users’ service provision.
• Feedback, monitor and update on the progress and needs of the service users
