What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and statutory reports in line with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Using popular financial systems such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and PeopleSoft to maintain accurate records.
- Helping to analyse and interpret financial data, offering insights to support business decisions.
- Working closely with experienced accountants and financial analysts on sector-specific finance projects.
- Taking part in team mentoring schemes and contributing to the development of junior staff and interns.
- Maintaining compliance with company policy, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a numerically strong discipline (minimum 2:2).
- A keen interest in developing a professional career in accountancy or financial reporting.
- Some familiarity with accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft) is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting.
- A proactive mindset with a desire to learn, contribute, and grow quickly in a structured environment.
- Previous internships or work experience in a finance or accounting setting are a bonus but not required.
